- character of the school is important to attract the students - vibrant CCAs - improve school image/ reputation (no more gangster school) - strong niche programmes - proximity to home - School Advisory Committee (strong financial support etc) - Scholarships (academic or CCA) offered - Alumni support - How our students carry themselves in public - Wide partnerships with community (after school care etc) - Publicity important (for awareness) maybe open house… - Adding value to students - How we sell our school is important - Image of school providing holistic education important - Primary schools we partner with should be varied… (selectively)
. Get PSG's help to network with potential parents whose child will be taking PSLE from primary schools. Create network with PSGs from primary school. . Identify students with siblings who is taking PSLE and talk to their parents. Encourage the parents to send their child to PYSS. . Work on improving our academic results....parents will still look at academic results when making selection.

- increase O level subjects, eg. O level Arts - CCA such as tennis, golf, air rifle to attract - leverage on our CCA strengths, eg. Cricket, Band and offer Junior Cricket Club to attract P6 from various schools and publicize our CCA (few schools have cricket that wins awards at National level) -partnering with Polytechnics to offer courses such as Science Research Programme - partnering Poly D & T dept so that our niche is known to public
- good national exam result ; O & N Level - provide CCA that students want to join - discipline school; low offence rate - outstanding achievements in competition - programmes that can value add, which is beneficial to the child. - low attrition rate - career development for teachers.

What it takes to be a choice school: NA and EX should also have their focus program like the NT syllabus, with specific CCAs to support such program. 3 mini schools running concurrently, with specialised teachers to teach that stream.
Another factor to think about is, when going out for marketing to a primary school, do consider bringing live example like students who are currently in Poly? JC? NUS? NTU? etc. and Mr Martin Chan. :)

- Love the students so they could learn to love us/school - Bonding through CCA, eg. band - Improve school’s image so they’d not be ashamed to mention school name, eg. teachers go to Primary schools or - Treat taxi drivers well so they have better impression of us to speak well of us to public (haha) - Change school location so more can see our Value-add banners and for catchment of ‘better’ students; and new reputation in new area (haha)

Need more bonding. eg House trainings during House day.
